Since we've all gotten so used to getting our thoughts down in 140 characters - and it's fun to keep the conversation flowing - we've take the Pep Rally to twitter! Every Monday, we host a twitter chat and we'd love you to join in. Just keep an eye out for the #MisfitPepRally hashtag!
It's June. The sun is out. School is out (and if it's not for you, it will be soon). It's finally warm outside. And you all know what that means, Misfiteers.
For me, that means sunshine, no more being cold, getting outside and loving life. Oh, and barbecuing. Gotta barbecue. It also means that my two favorite activities move from indoors to outdoors. Summer beach reads! Fresh air and notebooks! Nothing beats the feeling of sunshine and a good book, and even if the glare on my screen is a pain, I love to go outside and write. As much as I love curling up with a blanket and a book in front of the fire, sunshine has it beat. I sometimes wonder if I was the only kid that took a book camping with them, but I still do.
There's also a feeling of freedom that I associate with summer, though that may just be a hold-over from my days as a teacher. Hard to say.
So how about it, Misfiteers? What's your favorite part about summer? (And did anyone else take books camping, or am I alone there?)
