I hope your Monday is going well so far. It's time for Monday Pep Rally. WHOOO! Today we're talking about comfort books.
For me, a comfort book is one I go to after reading something that disturbs me, something that makes me cry, something that changes how I look at myself. They are the books we want to fall into, to sleep holding in our hands, the books we identify with warm feelings. It may be more than one or perhaps it's a whole genre.
My comfort books are YA contemporary romances. It's so hard to pick just one. I have so many. Anything by Jennifer Echols, like GOING TOO FAR and SUCH A RUSH. I love Katie McGarry's books, like PUSHING THE LIMITS. I love to read about sports too, being a huge football fan and Miranda Kenneally's books, like CATCHING JORDAN fill that void. When I reach the end of these books I'm satisfied and for me that's comforting. It makes me feel better, there's something sweet about knowing these two people will end up together and watching their journey.
What about you? What are your comfort books?
We've taken the Pep Rally to twitter! Every Monday, we host a twitter chat and we'd love you to join in. Just keep an eye out for the #MisfitPepRally hashtag. Come share your comfort books with us!
Have a great week!
