Since we've all gotten so used to getting our thoughts down in 140 characters - and it's fun to keep the conversation flowing - we've take the Pep Rally to twitter! Every Monday, we host a twitter chat and we'd love you to join in. Just keep an eye out for the #MisfitPepRally hashtag!
Happy Monday Misfiteers!
Unless you've been avoiding the internet (in which case, good for you!), you've probably heard J.K. Rowling's latest post-publication confession: she regrets pairing Ron and Hermione. *CUE THE INTERNET EXPLOSION*
Whatever your thoughts on that particular pairing, it got me thinking about other fictional couples, the ones who should have ended up happily ever after and didn't (hello Jo & Laurie), the ones who do end up together but probably shouldn't (Anakin & Padmé anyone?), or the ones that no one else saw as possible but you (I totally shipped Lucy & Caspian).
One of the best parts of fictional characters is how they burrow down into our souls and make us want the story to extend beyond the page. When they cross the line from mere words into something real enough to hope for. When they make you feel.
So tell me: Who do you ship? Or unship? What the best and worst romantic pairings? How would you rewrite the romantic histories of your favorite fictional characters?
