Monday Pep Rally: Cliffhangers

Since we've all gotten so used to getting our thoughts down in 140 characters - and it's fun to keep the conversation flowing - we've take the Pep Rally to twitter! Every Monday, we host a twitter chat and we'd love you to join in. Just keep an eye out for the #MisfitPepRally hashtag!

Happy Monday!

So. Cliffhangers. Love 'em or hate 'em?

I love book series'. There's nothing better than falling in love with characters that you're going to meet again... even if it is in a YEAR. The wait seems unbearable, doesn't it? I mean half the time I can't even remember anything about the book before the next one. Sometimes I have to read at least the last chapter of the book before it just to get on the same page.

UNLESS it has a huge cliffhanger at the end. That's the exception. I always remember a good cliffhanger. It's kind of weird. I hate them but love them at the same time. Nothing gets me more excited than a book that's been left on a cliffhanger.

One of my favorites was the cliffhanger in DELIRIUM by Lauren Oliver. I have to tell you, I would have paid someone in my own blood to find out what happened after that last part. In some ways, it's nice to have everything tidy at the end of a book, but who likes to read about happy people? Bring on the drama. Bring on the Cliffhangers.

So what do you think? Which is your favorite? Tell us on the #MisfitPepRally hashtag!

Have a great Monday, Misfiteers!!

I love cliffhangers. I remember reading Goosebumps books as a kid, where almost every book had a cliffhanger. And since it was an anthology series, that particular story would never be continued, so you were just left hanging permanently. But I still loved it.
