Even here in sunny Southern California (grrr), the weather is finally turning cooler and the air holds that magical crispness that makes me crave cinnamon and pumpkin and fuzzy socks. It's the time of year when I turn inward and want to hunker down with good food, warm blankets and cozy books.
Mmm. Cozy books. The ones that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Books that are as satisfying as a Thanksgiving dinner and as refreshing as a moonlit walk in the sharp autumn air. I have a few that come out every years, old favorites that are as familiar and comforting as my favorite hoodie and a pot of Sleepytime Tea with honey. My absolute favorite cozy read is A LITTLE PRINCESS. There's something about Sara Crewe's triumph over adversity, her attic room, the dreary backdrop, that all makes feel extra fortunate and satisfied with my own life.
How about you? What are your favorite books to read this time of year? What cozy reads can you recommend? Head over to twitter to tell me - and enjoy the fall and everything that comes with it!

I love getting cozy under my blanket and reading light fun books. I love the Thief of Always by Clive Barker. That book just is so good to read on a rainy day. Yes, it rains here in Az.
