...aka, a welcome, a roll call, and a giveaway!
Once upon a time, a misfit group of YA writers met upon ye ol' Twitter--a Tomboy, a Bible Thumper, a Rocker, a Science Geek, a Catholic School Defect, a Hippie Chick, an Art Nerd, a Comic Book Nerd, an Overachiever, a Prep, a Foreign Exchange Student, and a Cheerleader. We read for each other, cheered each other on, and laughed at our constant hilarity.
We've been working around the clock for the last two months to make YA Misfits an interesting, fun place for you to read about our different experiences with the writing process, querying, publishing, as well as whatever random bits of awesomeness we decide to throw in. And now you're HERE! We are SO EXCITED!
What's that? What kind of posts can you look forward to? WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU ASKED.
Monday: Pep Rally Mondays. We'll ask a question, you answer on your blog and link up with us!
Tuesday: Term Paper Tuesdays. Misfit Leigh Ann Kopans' popular twitter chat, Young Adult Writers Ask A Teen (#YAWritersAAT), happens every Sunday night at 9:00 pm EST. We'll post a summary of the chat's findings as well as a transcript of the previous Sunday's chat every Tuesday!
Wednesday: Writing Club Wednesdays. One of the Misfits will post about reading, writing, publishing, etc.
Thursday: Band Geek Thursdays. The Misfits are big fans of creating music playlists to get us in the mood to write. Every Thursday, you'll find a new playlist to correspond with what we're writing or reading!
Friday: Casual Fridays. One of the Misfits gets to write about ANYTHING she wants!
Now that we are LIVE, we'd love to celebrate by hosting a little (and by "little" we mean "AMAZING") giveaway.
And WHAT are we giving away, Lovelies?
